David VIRIEUX
Professor David VIRIEUX is a synthetic organic chemist with a strong commitment to organic synthesis and organophosphorus chemistry. His aim is to understand and synthesize original structures to demonstrate how small molecules can interact in fundamental biological processes, hence bringing new therapeutic opportunities. This synthetic chemistry effort led to the design of tailored synthetic drug candidates that could make a therapeutic difference in unmet medical need, as assessed by the discovery of “first-in class” phosphorus-based glycoside analogues to fight cancers. He co-founded Phost’In Therapeutics in 2014, a new player in the field of glyco-immuno-oncology.
